30 years of grain
From trading Kazakh wheat to the only large-scale pasta factory in the country.
The first grain cars
We start by importing wheat, oats and barley from northern Kazakhstan, then go on to distribute CIS food products: confectionery, vegetable oil and flour.
The Almaty decision
The Kazakh-Tajik Grain Company LLP is set up as the 100% founder of the future Tajik business.
Zernovaya Kompaniya is born
On July 6 we register the company and buy a 5-hectare former industrial site in Gafurov, with its own rail siding near Khujand station and the airport.
Our own land
We buy a 142-hectare farm in the Samgar area on the Khujand–Asht highway, with fields, orchards, artesian wells and a livestock farm.
Our first flour
We launch the mill producing premium, first and second grade flour. We rebuild the warehouses and add a 2×1,000 kW substation, a canteen, a guest house, a medical room and a 150 m well.
Buona pasta
We open an automated pasta factory built by an Italian manufacturer, the only large-scale one in the country. Computers run the process and Italian specialists monitor it remotely. The mill gets Italian equipment, and we open a distribution branch in Dushanbe.
Silos, orchards and a first award
Six automated Italian silos come online. We plant Italian apricot, cherry, plum and peach saplings with drip irrigation. Buona pasta is named Best Product of the Year 2012.
A new Italian mill
We acquire high-tech Italian milling equipment, making ours the largest modern automated milling operation in Tajikistan.
Brand of the Year
Buona wins bronze at the Brand of the Year 2019 awards held by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
New packaging, new website
